Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive. If you have a question that isn’t included here, please contact us through our online contact form.

What Happens After I Pay?

Once you have followed the PayPal process, click to return to merchant and you will reach a questionnaire about your video(s). Give as much detail as you can and include your script(s). We will confirm receipt and get to work on your videos. If you have any questions you can contact us via the contact form OR the email address given on the questionnaire. You can also use that email address to send relevant photos and download links for video.

If we have any questions we will contact you directly.

How Long Does It Take?

We aim to make and return all videos within 7 days. Hopefully quicker (but this will depend on other orders). If it’s urgent, let us know and we will “put a rush on”!

How Do I Know How Long My Video is Going to Be?

Read the video script and time how long it takes. You should read it out loud at a speed you want the voiceover to read it. If you read it in your head you will always read it quicker. If you can read it comfortably to 3 mins or less then you only need to pay for a 3 minute video – the video may be slightly longer due to the end titles but we’re happy to ignore a few extra seconds ;-)

I’m Not a Writer – What Should My Script Include?

This is subjective as it depends on the aim of your video. If you want to target specific keywords for your business to acquire backlinks from the video sharing sites then a well-written blog post or article would be a good idea. In fact, good blog posts and articles make excellent videos because you are offering the viewer something valuable and specific to their search, meaning they will be more likely to see what else you offer.

If you want to highlight a product or service, then make your script benefit-laden. Don’t just talk about what your business does, instead express the benefits of the product or service and your business in particular. For example, if you are a dentist offering teeth whitening, your script should probably be all about the increased self-esteem, the joy of being able to smile in public again without embarrassment, and how great you will look and feel at the Christmas party once it’s done.

If you are truly stuck for script ideas or have the ideas but can’t write them down, then please get in touch through our contact form and we can arrange to have a script written for you and will give you a bespoke quote depending on the length and number of scripts required.

Do You Offer Any Other Voiceovers – I Don’t Like Your Voice?

None taken! ;-) I understand some people prefer a male voiceover or you may want someone with a US accent. Unfortunately, at the moment you are stuck with my voice but I will be able to offer a British Male voice very soon (once the fees are raised, as I am not prepared to pay my voiceovers pennies). I will also look at bringing in other voiceovers depending on demand.

Can I Choose a Specific Piece of Music for My Video?

The reason we are able to keep our prices so low is because we have stock music we use that doesn’t require a license fee every time we use it. If you want something specific it will usually require a one-off music licence and these can range from tens of dollars to thousands of dollars. If you own the rights to a piece of music that you use in all your marketing then make sure you have the rights to use it in your online videos and let us have a copy. But if you want the latest Beyonce track on your video, it ain’t going to happen!

You can specify a style of music. For example, you may want something funky and fun, or serious corporate music. In these cases we will search for a track that meets your requirements from our library.

What Software Do You Use to Make Your Videos?

It depends on the style of video you want.

If you like a lot of things happening in your video – graphics, photos, background, voice and music – like this one, I use Article Video Robot but using some of their advanced features:

If you prefer simple videos without too many frames or too much fuss, I use Windows Movie Maker or Corel Video Studio.

In the future I hope to offer the option of white label Animoto videos, which are extremely glossy and professional looking, but they have strict usage and licensing rules so I am currently in contact with them about the cost of extra licenses (of course, if you have an Animoto business account already you can allow me access to make videos for your business).

I Want Something a Bit Different from These Videos – What Else Can You Do?

Get in touch via our contact page and explain what you want. If we can do it, we will give you an individual quote. We have a lot of experience in creating tutorial videos and training CDRoms either using your graphics or creating them ourselves using screencapture software, but that requires a bespoke quote depending on the length and complexity of the job.
